Case: Finnair Aircraft Liverys
Finnair is Finland’s national airline and one of the world’s oldest still operating. Based in Helsinki, it connects Europe and Asia through its main hub, Helsinki Airport. Known for its Nordic design, safety, and sustainability efforts, Finnair focuses on efficient long-haul and regional travel.
Finnair celebrated its centenary in 2023. The slogan was Bringing Us Together Since 1923. Their Airbus wide-body aircraft brings people together around the world. It was natural to look for a partner among their own corporate partners to color the journey.
Moomin Characters® was the perfect choice for this case. I got to take a look at Tove Jansson’s & Moomin Characters® archives, where I found an old 1968 comic strip of Moomins hugging.
I redraw these to fit the fuselage for wrapping. The graphics are mirrored on the other side of the plane, so I had to take into account the ankle bracelet on Snorkmaiden’s foot. As a small detail and change to the original image, in the mirror image on the other side of the plane, the jewelry is now on the left leg, as it should be. The wrapping of the plane was done in Hong Kong in connection with other maintenance work on the aircraft.
At the same time, another aircraft was also created, which used the Finnair 100 anniversary logo and slogan created for Finnair.
The liveries that were created in 2023 were for Airbus A350-900-941.

Case: Veikkaus WRC program identifiers
Veikkaus is Finland’s state-owned gambling company. It operates the country’s lottery, sports betting, and casino games, both online and in physical locations.
Start your engines! Veikkaus is the betting partner for official World Rally Car series in Finland. I partnered up with Vanite to create a set of animations for 4 different rallies. Customizing the car setup, the environment and surroundings according to each specific rally in different countries to pop up the presence of each world rally environment.
For example Snow for winter rally in Sweden, Tarmac for Portugal, Gravel for Croatia and Finland, Muddy forests for Kenya. These were used to identify television program breaks that appealed to the target group of bettors of each Live rally broadcasts.

Case: Posti, Finland & Sweden vehicle fleet designs
Posti is Finland’s national postal and logistics company. It handles mail, parcels, and e-commerce deliveries across Finland and internationally. In addition to traditional postal services, Posti also provides logistics, warehousing, and digital communication solutions for businesses and consumers.
Posti’s net-zero emissions target was approved by SBTi as the first logistics company in the world. A huge amount of work has already been done to reach this goal: Posti has, among other things, Finland’s largest heavy-duty biogas fleet.
In 2022, Posti decided on a roadmap for clean transport vehicles extending to 2030. The implementation of the roadmap would mean the acquisition of thousands of new electric vehicles and will help ensure that the company can transport fossil-free by the end of the decade.
According to the plan, Posti would acquire as many as a couple of thousand light electric vehicles by 2030, i.e. in practice vans, several hundred medium-duty trucks and transport vehicles using electricity and biogas, and hundreds of heavy-duty vehicles, so-called heavy-duty vehicles, so called truck drivers which are powered by biogas, electricity and hydrogen. The final procurement volumes and the choice between different propulsion systems are affected by the development of rolling stock technology.
In May 2023, Posti introduced its first electric truck, i.e. a semi-trailer tractor. At that time, Volvo’s FM 42T Electric was Posti’s first electric truck and a rarity on Finnish roads. The electric truck is part of Posti’s fossil-free transport fleet.
